Mahatma Gandhi was a great freedom fighter who fought for freedom for India throughout his life. He was a great man who has been remembered by every Indian. Each and every person and child of India knows him as Gandhiji. Therefore, today we are providing you an essay in different word limits, highlighting the life of the Father of the Nation, Gandhiji.

About Gandhiji

The full name of Mahatma Gandhi, famous as Bapu, was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. His father’s name was Karamchand Gandhi. His mother’s name was Putlibai. She was a woman of very religious views. Karamchand Gandhi was a famous minister of his time, he used to dominate society.

Mohandas was the only child of his parents. Because of which he was raised very well. Gandhiji was not good at studies in childhood. He did not understand mathematics at all. Gradually, he also accepted this. But due to fear of the father, he had to study. He was very shy and quiet in childhood.

Education

Gandhiji completed his primary education from Porbandar and he shifted Rajkot for further studies, He completed the high school examination from Rajkot and then went to Ahmedabad for further education.

After SSC, he completed the schooling with difficulty, he never wanted to study, Since because of his father’s anger he completed his studies in law in England and became a lawyer.

His importance in India

In Indian history, he was a great man who transformed the dream of freedom of Indians into reality. Even today, people remember him for his great and incredible work. Even today people are given an example of their life. He was not true and non-violent from birth, but he made himself non-violent.

Gandhiji’s Work

 Because of Gandhiji’s hard work and struggles India got independence from British rule. He organized many campaigns like-

Asahyog Movement

Innocent people were killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Due to which, Gandhiji decided to start this movement.

Savina Avagya Andolan

This movement was launched against the policies of the British rule. He started going barefoot from Sabarmati ashram till Dandi for salt satyagraha.

Khilafat Movement

The Khilafat Movement further strengthened Gandhi’s credibility between Congress and the Muslims. He returned the honors and medals given by the British for supporting the Indian Muslims. Which had a deep impact on Muslims?

Quit India Movement

To liberate the country from the shackles of slavery, Mahatma Gandhi, also launched a similar movement against the British in the year 1942 and called this movement “Quit India Movement”  This movement has played an important role in the movements to free the country from the rule of British rule.
