Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam probably known as APJ Abdul Kalam was an Indian scientist who was born on 15 October 1931. Abdul Kalam was born in the era when Britishers were ruling our country. He was born in Rameshwaram which is situated in Tamilnadu.
The early life of Abdul Kalam was very much poor as there are five siblings in his family and he had to do for his family so because of this he started to distribute newspaper and by these he used to earn money for his family his father was very poor who was a boat owner and his mother was a housewife so because of this he started to earn at a very early age.
With this all his struggle in his life he didn’t compromise in his education and he completed his graduation in the college of Tiruchirapalli named St Joseph’s College in the year of 1954 and after that he completed his aerospace engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology from Chennai in the year 1960. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was a great scientist and also was the President of our India.
His Life and Career
After completing his graduation he did he did his AMIT in Aeronautical Engineering and become a great scientist after becoming scientist he done many great researchers and he was promoted to ISRO where he was used to researching on our Indian satellite. For his work in the researchers and in the research of satellites, he was known as the Missile man of India.
He was a great aerospace engineer who played a vital role in India’s Pokhran nuclear test. Not only scientist but also he was a great President of our India he was probably known as the People’s president as he was very close to all the people as any people can tell their opinions and views to him directly and he listen to them and try to resolve their problems.
He was the 11th President of our India from the year 2002 to 2007. People use to tell their problems to President Abdul Kalam when he used to solve it quickly and people always have faith in Kalam and have respect towards him. He was a great leader towards Nation and also the great scientist for our Indian country who gave his life towards the nation and because of this he never has any relationship and he was a lifelong bachelor.
His Awards
People use to respect APJ Abdul Kalam and always have faith in him and because of his deeds towards the nation, he had received many awards not only in India but also received from many other countries. He has received 7 honorary doctorates from about 40 universities.
He has also been honored with the Padma Bhushan Award in the year of 1981 by the government of India and he also got the Padma Bhushan in the year of 1990 by the government of India for his work with the DRDO and ISRO as the scientific advisor to the government.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam died on 27th of July in the year of 2015 at Shillong in India. He was a great inspiration for the people and a great motivator for the people so because of this the Government of Tamilnadu has announced that 15 October should be celebrated in the memory of Abdul Kalam.
